I've seen an awful lot of talk about this, and I posted someone's theory awhile back about how Nagini couldn't possibly be the one Harry set free. Hmm...
Yeah, but that quote actually originated on Tumblr, and can't be actually proved to be said by JK Rowling.
Plus, Nagini is a viper, while the snake Harry set free is a boa constrictor.

This was proven false, as Nagini is some type of viper while the snake in the zoo was a boa constrictor. Furthermore, the snake was given a male voice in the film, while Nagini is female.
